What We Offer

Safe, Comfortable & Supportive Sober Living

8/30/20262 min read

Hooah Housing For Vets provides safe, clean, comfortable, and affordable sober living housing for up to nine residents in a peaceful and private setting. Our homes are designed to provide the stability, structure, and supportive environment veterans need as they work toward sustained sobriety, personal growth, and a healthier quality of life.

We understand that transitioning from treatment or an unstable living situation can be challenging. That's why we strive to make the transition into sober living as comfortable and manageable as possible.

Residents have access to furnished accommodations, bedding, towels, soap, and essential household cleaning supplies, allowing them to focus on their recovery and personal goals without having to immediately provide every household necessity.

We also maintain a community pantry to help support residents who may be experiencing temporary financial hardship. Our goal is to ensure that a lack of resources does not unnecessarily stand in the way of maintaining stability and focusing on recovery.

Character & Life-Skill Development

At Hooah Housing For Vets, we believe that successful recovery involves more than maintaining sobriety. It also involves developing the confidence, discipline, responsibility, and practical skills necessary to build a stable and independent life.

Residents are encouraged to take an active role in maintaining their living environment, property, and community. Everyday responsibilities and shared activities provide opportunities to develop:

  • Accountability and personal responsibility

  • Discipline and consistency

  • Healthy daily routines

  • Time-management skills

  • Communication and teamwork

  • Self-confidence and independence

  • Respect for others and shared spaces

  • Practical household and property-maintenance skills

These responsibilities are not simply chores. They are opportunities to develop habits and life skills that can carry over into employment, relationships, family life, and independent living.

Building Character Through Purpose

Purpose and meaningful responsibility can play an important role in rebuilding a person's confidence and sense of accomplishment.

At Hooah Housing For Vets, residents may have opportunities to contribute to the care and maintenance of the home, property, gardens, and animals. Working together toward common goals can help residents develop trust, strengthen relationships, improve communication, and experience the satisfaction that comes from making a positive contribution to their community.

For veterans who have spent years serving others, having a renewed sense of purpose and belonging can be an important part of moving forward.

Recovery Is About Building a Better Future

Hooah Housing For Vets believes recovery is not simply about removing negative influences from your life—it is about building something better in their place.

That means developing healthy routines, surrounding yourself with positive influences, accepting responsibility, building confidence, strengthening relationships, and learning the practical skills necessary to move toward greater independence.

Our goal is to provide veterans with a supportive environment where they can focus on sobriety while also working toward the person and future they want to build.

A sober lifestyle is a foundation. From that foundation, you can begin rebuilding your life—one day, one responsibility, and one positive decision at a time.
